Long Live basu!

So we had to say Goodbye to our dearest Father Figure of Bengal, Comrade Basu, GOODBYE! Every one has to die one day and basu is no exception too. But , Basu was an ICON of communism in India. He was a great politician and probably the most charismatic of his time. My condolence to his family and to the people close to him. RED SALUTE COMMRADE, we will remember you.

BUT – I must say he is not the greatest CM of the country or even west Bengal! As I said he was a great politicians but as a leader he is a complete failure. The 10-12 yrs of his Chief Minstrel age West Bengal has gone back to backward in every aspect. When in India CAR manufacturing unit was in Bengal , in Basu's regime Chennai took over. When Kolkata was supposed to be the engineering HUB of the country slowly Bangalore and Navi Mumbai took over. When – textile and potteries was bengal's prime industry under his regime we have seen Ahmedabad took over, even states which were far below the list from West Bengal (specially the southern states ) they all took over and pushed WB down the list.

The EXTREME TRADE UNION movement in Bengal started in Basu's regime taught the people of Bengal one thing – NEHI CHALEGA NEHI CHALEGA!!! If you are a trade union leader you don’t hv to come to work but still get paid. If you are with CITU you have every right to put RED FLAGS in a factory/establishment and make sure that there are BANDHs every now and then and for all the failure blame the central govt.

The darkest 10yrs of West Bengal in the modern Indian history is the tenure of Joyti Basu's CM era.

Sorry comrade – I must say, West Bengal has gone back 20yrs in the industrial development while most of the states in India has prospered. The extreme trade union movement has ensured that most of the head offices of big industry to move away from kolkata to some other city in India. The nehi chalega and bandh culture has crippled all the development in the city – the work culture has evaporated.

The net effect – today if you need a high paying job, you have to go out of Bengal. Today if you need better service, sorry Kolkata is not the place. Today my brother, if you are looking for a good career sorry Bro go to Gujrat or maharastra or karnatak, there is no career prospect in Bengal. Today if you are looking for a well established bride groom for your daughter , be sure he will not be working in WB but some other state. Today – in kolkata 30k-40k per month income is considered as high income, whereas in all other metro in India 30-40K / month is in lower median.

Sorry Comrade – I am really sorry, with due respect to you comrade – I must say , you have ensured that SONAR BANGLA will not be SONAR BANGLA any more. Sorry comrade , I STILL RESPECT the RED FLAG but sorry again , YOU ARE NOT the GREATEST LEADER of our time! Sorry Comrade – be in peace , but sorry again you have destroyed my YOUNG DREAMS and dreams of many other and history will not forgive you!

Easy Marine water tank setup

As you know that there is quite lot of market hype about the setup of a marine tank and how to maintain it. The way it is portrayed that its very difficult to create and maintain a beautiful marine aquaria. My experiment was to create a low cost low tech easy to keep marine aquaria where most of the habitat is from the Mother Nature and not to destroy the nature by acquiring resources from Coral Reef.

I am going to now elaborate on how I have done it.

I have used my freshwater aquarium instead of buying a new one. I took out all the gravels water and all the metallic component in it. I gave away my freshwater fishes to one my friend (he will be a firs time aquarist) and then I stared buy my essentials –

Got a call on Sat night from my boss – asking me to login immediately as our nightly job which runs for about 4:30Hrs is running for more than 6hrss and still not half way through.

My first question was – what’s changed? No one seems to know. Looked into the last analyzed time for all the tables and it showed me the FRIDAY)Friday is our weekly off. I again looked into it , nothing popped up, suddenly I see a parameter change in the gather stat execution script, we tried to take a broad-brush approach and we tried to gather histogram on all index columns...
